Beautiful antique Wedgwood pitcher with high relief sculptured figures, one burning incense and oils, another carrying a basket of fruits and flowers, and a cherub. The other side has a procession including a lady carrying an urn with oils, another lady carrying a basket of fruits, and a cherub carrying a torch. The figures are all walking towards the lady in the center burning incense and oils as an offering to the Gods. The top of the pitcher has grape vines and grapes sculptured in high relief. One of the grape vines has a small separation mark near the handle. To the right side of the pouring spout is 1/8 inch of color loss. Other than that it is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use. Height 6-1/4 inches. From the pouring spout to the back of the handle it measures 5 inches. Diameter at base 3-3/4 inches. The bottom is marked Wedgwood England 24 and an incised star like marking on the bottom. Guaranteed to please as are all our items. (Item #72671)
