Very interesting French or possibly Italian majolica pitcher that is quite early and interesting in its form. Nice squared off handle and surrounded on the body with cherubs children or cherubim. Very unlike later majolica and much more colorful than much of the 17th C pieces this pitcher is amazing not only in form but condition. Somehow spared any damage over the years this fine delicate piece is a perfect addition to any advanced majolica collection. Stands about 11'' tall and is circa 1750. Status: For Sale Reference#: 524_2484 Condition: vg Year: 1750
