Japanese Meiji (late 19th century ) period jar and lid with double peach finial and beautiful enamel work. Measures: 6 1/4'' to top of finial. Diameter is 4 1/2''. Cylindrical shaped body. Very fine enamel work decorates both jar and lid. Colours are delicate and there is very pretty detail to the petals and leaves. The top of the lid has a wonderfully moulded double peach finial, the leaves are almost spider like in their delicacy. Condition:overall condition is extremely good. There is one small chip on the lid and a minute one on the rim, entirely hidden by the lid. Enamel and finial are in very good shape.
