There are great splashes of color on this piece of North Carolina pottery. It is a nice early piece in a conventional country form with lug handles. It does have a couple of minor flakes to the handles, small nicks to the rim, and an interior chip on the inside rim. Nonetheless, it shows well on a shelf and is a good colorful early piece of folk art. The base is unmarked.
