Fine large Limoge porcelain biscuit jar or potpourri. This elegant melon shaped covered jar is a soft beige with dramatic red flowers on green, tendril like stems. The border of the pot and the lid have gold gilt decoration and the lid shows the "Moorish" influence that was popular in this Period. High quality French porcelain, this late Victorian gem is fully marked with the Tressemann & Vogt mark # 4a. Fresh from a local Brooklyn estate. Fine original condition, with some wear to the gilding. 7" tall x 6" wide.
