Circa 1920 Chinese Export Blue Canton Tea Cannister with cover. The Tea Cannister measures 14 1/2" to the top of the cover and 12" to the top just past the side border just above the rain and cloud border. The width at that point is 7 1/2" square. We believe that the cover is not original but it looks good with it on showing it as a Complete Piece. Tea Cannisters, Tea Poys and Tea caddies are Very Collectible. A Blue Canton Tea Cannister with original cover and dating from the Early 19TH. Century would probably sell for over $10,000.00. This one is in Excellent Condition with no chips, cracks or Restoration. Presently in our inventory we have a 18TH Century Nanking and a 19TH Century Cabbage Leaf Tea Cannister of approximately the same size.
