Victorian parian figural group of a boy with his Spaniel dog. Made in England, 19th century. Measures approx 5 1/2 accross X 4 3/4inches high. A young boy sits on a naturalistically modelled rocky base, covered in grass and flowers. His dog, a Spaniel, licks his face. Whether they are simply playing or the boy fell is unclear. Good detail to folds of the boys clothes, really cute dog and toes. No damage to be seen, but close observation shows that the boy''s left (raised) hand was professionally restored. No signature/marks. Status: For Sale Reference#: 2970 Condition: good Year: 1880 Title: VICTORIAN PARIAN FIGURE OF BOY W SPANIEL DOG
