Victorian, circa 1860 Staffordshire figure group of a shepherd and shepherdess sat in a field with four sheep. The shepherd has one arm around his dog. Fence to the side and a tree in the center. Green shredded clay decoration forms the grass, and leaves of the tree. Dull gilt decoration and base line. Hollow underside. Good. No cracks. No hairlines. No chips. Some small flakes to shredded clay. Some rubbing to gilt. Kiln effects: slight staining to base; small firing pits around the base, mainly to the reverse. Restoration of one sheep head. 5.25ins high
