Victorian, circa 1860 Staffordshire pastille burner in the form of a two storey house decorated with flowers and shredded clay. Two orange chimneys with holes for the vapour. Dull gilt base line and decoration. Opening to reverse for the pastille. Generally good. No restoration. No hairlines. Shallow chip to underside, three chips to shredded clay on the roof, and a small chip to both flowers on the roof. Small flake to one chimney. A few paint losses to chimneys and finial. Rubbing to gilt. Kiln effects: over glazed manufacture chip to underside and flower on the ground; small shrinkage crack to underside; stained crazing to reverse. 5ins high
