Victorian, circa 1860 Staffordshire figure of two parrots perched in a tree below a fruiting grapevine. Nest between them containing three eggs. Dull gilt decoration and base line. Shredded clay form the nest. Fair. No hairlines. No chips. No flakes. Slight rubbing to gilt. Kiln effects: shrinkage crack inside the nest; craze line to underside and a few to the reverse. Restoration to top of grapevine. This may have originally been a watch holder that has been broken off and tidied up. 9.5ins high
