Victorian, circa 1870 Staffordshire figure of a hunter standing on rocky ground holding a gun. A brown and white dog stands beside him. Dull gilt base line and decoration. Vent hole to underside. No book reference found. Good. No hairlines. Very slight rubbing to gilt collar. Kiln effect: shrinkage crack to underside. Tiny restored chip to lower base edge. Retouched paint losses to the hunter''s boots, bag, hair and the dog''s left ear and markings. 13.5ins high
