Victorian, circa 1860 Staffordshire figure of a fox with its prey, a bird, on the ground underneath. Legs and tail molded free. Modeled on a shaped base with shredded clay decoration. Fox decorated all round. Vent hole to underside. Good. No cracks. No hairlines. No chips. Flake to tip of right ear. Kiln effect: craze line to the underside and several to reverse. Restoration of hind left leg. Retouching to tail and rump. 6ins high
