Victorian, circa 1860 Staffordshire figure of a child standing on a chair, beside a table which has a bird cage on it. The boy is feeding a bird which is perched on top of the cage. Dull gilt base line and decoration to shirt collar. Vent hole to reverse. No book reference found. Good. No hairlines. No chips. Rubbing to gilt. Kiln effects: shrinkage line along the mold join on both sides; shrinkage crack to the lower base edge at reverse; stray cobalt glaze to reverse of base and table. Retouching to the front. 8ins high
