pre-Victorian, circa 1810 Staffordshire Prattware money box which features a couple either side of a cottage, stood on a rectangular base. The piece is titled, ''SAVING BANK'' to the front of the base. Multi-coloured with underglaze blue version. Decorated in the round with decoration to the front and the reverse. Coin slot to the reverse. Book reference, ''PRATT WARE English and Scottish relief decorated and underglaze coloured earthenware 1780-1840'' by John and Griselda Lewis 255 Generally good. Two small flakes to the eaves of the house. Slight wear to the corner of the roof. Kiln effects: touch mark to the reverse on the roof. Remodelled heads to both figures 4.7ins high, 4.9ins wide, 3.1ins depth
