Victorian, circa 1860 Staffordshire Jackfield lurcher seated on oval base. One front leg molded free. Dull gilt facial features, collar, chain and base line. Ochre eyes. Large vent hole to underside and painted ''3''. Similar piece illustrated figure, page 119, ''A-Z of Staffordshire Dogs, A Potted History'', by Clive Mason Pope. Good. No restoration. No cracks. No hairlines. No chips. Flaking to underside. Small flake to reverse and left ear. Some wear. Rubbing to gilt. Kiln effect: touch mark under chin and a couple to underside. 8ins high
