Pre-Victorian, circa 1820 Early Staffordshire bocage figure of Elijah sat beneath a tree, feeding bread to a raven which is perched by his side. Another raven is sat in the tree above. Stream flowing past to the side. Molded on a square, marble effect base with title ''ELIJAH'' to the front. Arms and one leg molded free. Decorated all round. Vent hole to underside. Good. No cracks. No hairlines. Shallow chip to underside at front. Some small flakes to upper base edge. Kiln effect: kiln detritus on top of the base. Restoration of the raven''s rear. Bocage almost entirely covered with old overpainting. Restored chip to one corner. 11.75ins high
