Victorian, circa 1860 Small Staffordshire No.6 russet and white seated spaniel. Dull gilt collar and locket. Ochre eyes, black nose, whiskers and eye detail, red mouth and feathered russet markings to body. Raised number 6 mark and a painted mark to underside. Good. No cracks. Tight hairline to right side of spaniel''s back. No chips. No flakes. Some rubbing to gilt. Kiln effects: shrinkage line to top of spaniel''s head and another between front legs. Repaired shrinkage crack running around lower base edge at reverse. Restored flake to left ear. Retouching to russet markings. 5.5ins high
