pre-Victorian, circa 1820 Salt Staffordshire Pearlware Bocage figure with a Pastoral theme which features a recumbent lamb and a ewe, stood on an oval base version. Decorated in the round with decoration to the front and the reverse. Makers marks Salt moulded ribbon mark. Book reference,''People, Passions, Pastimes and Pleasures. Kiln effects: thin glaze application to places on the bocage. Retouching to both noses. Old retouching to the base 6.1ins high, 4.5ins wide, 2.8ins depth
