George III, circa 1790 Early Staffordshire Prattware figure/flask of a tavern wench holding a bottle in her left hand. Her mop cap has a hole at the top for stopper. Decorated all round with cream, ochre and brown glazes. Similar pieces illustrated on page 268, ''Pratt Ware 1780-1840'' by John and Griselda Lewis. Generally good. No cracks. No hairlines. No chips. Tiny flake to nose. Bruise to lower base edge at side. Kiln effect: small shrinkage crack to the bottom of her dress. Repair across her waist and to her right arm. 7.5ins high
