Victorian, circa 1860 Pair Staffordshire figures modeled as a highland shepherd and shepherdess, both standing on a ledge above a recumbent sheep, with another sheep over one arm. Ermine scarves. Dull gilt decoration and base line. Vent hole to underside. No book reference found. Generally good. No chips. Some rubbing to gilt. Shepherd: No cracks. Restoration to recumbent sheep''s nose and the other sheep''s ear. Shepherdess: Old repaired crack around girl''s neck and shoulders. Retouching of paint losses to the ground, scarf and skirt. 9ins high
