Victorian, circa 1860 Pair Staffordshire figures of a lady and gent, each with a recumbent sheep on the ground below. The lady is holding a ring decorated with shredded clay foliage. One arm of each figure and the gent''s front leg are molded free. Granulated clay forms the sheep''s coat. Decorated all round. Vent hole to underside. Good. Slight rubbing to gilt. Gent: A few flakes to base edge. Kiln effect: shrinkage line to the sheep''s coat. Repair to neck and hat. Retouching to left shoe. Lady: A couple of tiny flakes to lower base edge. Restored flake to sheep''s right ear. Retouching to hair, eyes and hat. 8.25ins high
