Victorian, circa 1860 Pair Staffordshire figures of a young man and lady, both standing on oval bases with a russet and white spaniel by their side. In one hand they hold a floral wreath. Dull gilt decoration and base line. Vent hole to underside of the man figure. No book reference found. Good. Slight rubbing to gilt. Man: Kiln effect: shrinkage crack to reverse of left wrist. Repair to his neck. Retouching to black enamel. Lady: A few paint losses to the spaniel. Kiln effects: shrinkage crack on one side of her skirt, and another underneath the spaniel; faint shrinkage line to her right ankle. Repair to her neck. Retouching to black enamel. 8.5ins high
