Victorian, circa 1860 Pair Staffordshire seated spaniels both holding a basket of flowers in their mouth. Decorated with feathered brown markings. Vent hole to undersides. Generally good. Right facing: Slight wear to chest and left ear. Kiln effects: small firing hole next to left ear; shrinkage crack to side of basket; glaze miss to underside; craze lines to front and reverse; crazing. Restored flake to reverse. Retouching to some of the markings and green leaves. Left facing: Very minor paint loss to the brown enamel and orange flower. Kiln effects: craze line behind left ear; crazing.
