Victorian, circa 1860 Pair Staffordshire figures of a boy and girl sat bare foot on a rocky ledge, each with one arm around a sheep which is standing beside them. Recumbent goat below. Shredded clay decoration to the rock. Dull gilt decoration and base line. Vent hole to underside. No book reference found. Good. Some rubbing to gilt. Boy: Kiln effect: overall crazing. Repaired crack to sheep''s hind leg. Restored chip to sheep''s right ear. Retouching to the boy''s hair. Girl: Minor paint loss to the berries on the girl''s hat. Kiln effects: overall crazing; over glazed manufacture chip to lower base edge at front, burn marks to underside, reverse of rock and sheep''s tail. Repaired crack to sheep''s hind leg. Repaired shrinkage crack running around the girl''s waist and along rock underneath sheep. Retouching to the girl''s hair. 10.25ins high
