Victorian, circa 1860 Pair Staffordshire seated spaniels both holding a basket of flowers in their mouth (possibly matched - black coat markings are different). Decorated with feathered black markings to bodies. Vent hole to underside. Good. Right facing: Kiln effect: small shrinkage line to tail. Retouching to claws, ears and leaves. Left facing: Kiln effects: large piece of kiln detritus, shrinkage line and a firing pit to reverse, piece of kiln detritus underneath front left paw. Retouching to the leaves. 7.25ins high
