Victorian, circa 1860 Pair Staffordshire figures of the Queen Victoria with Princess Royal, and Prince Albert with the Prince of Wales. The adults are seated on ermine edged thrones, with one foot resting on a cushion. The Royal children stand to the side. Albert''s legs and arms of all figures are molded free. Dull gilt base line and decoration to clothing. Vent hole to underside. Victoria: No restoration. Tiny abrasion to both noses. Slight rubbing to reverse of throne. Kiln effects: fine shrinkage line to Victoria''s neck; firing crack to side; kiln soot caught in the glaze. Albert: Slight rubbing to reverse of throne and head. Kiln effects: small touch mark to reverse of head; firing hole to side of base; kiln soot caught in the glaze; heavy crazing.
