Circa 1910 Pair Staffordshire tan Pekinese dogs, each with a blue ribbon around its neck. Decorated all round. Vent hole to back of neck. Slip cast molding, with two large holes to underside. Similar pair illustrated on page 93 of Schiffer''s ''Staffordshire Animals'' by Adele Kenny. Good. No restoration. Right facing: Kiln effects: patchy glaze application to ribbon and tail; glaze miss to base edge at front. Left facing: Kiln effects: patchy glaze application to ribbon and ears; glaze pops to reverse; kiln detritus caught in the glaze between back legs at front and to base at reverse. 7.5ins high by 8ins wide
