Victorian, circa 1860 Pair Staffordshire black and white and No.5 spaniels. Black feathered patches to the coat. Dull gilt collar and locket. Vent hole to reverses. Raised number ''5'' to underside. Good. Rubbing to gilt. Right facing: Minor paint loss to muzzle. Kiln effects: some crazing; over glazed manufacture chip to lower base edge; a few pieces of kiln detritus caught inside causing the piece to rattle. Repaired crack to front right paw. Minor retouching to some of the black markings and nose. Left facing: Kiln effect: a few flecks of kiln grit to underside. Retouching to black markings and face. 6.5ins high
