Victorian, circa 1860 Pair of Staffordshire figures which feature King Charles Spaniels on leaf embellished cushions, stood on an oblong base. Russet and white version. Dull gilt base line and embellishment. Flatback, decorated mainly to the front. Vent hole to the underside. Kiln effects: a few specks of kiln grit caught in the glaze to the base. Retouching to some paint losses. Filled chip to the end of the base. Left facing: Generally good. Tight hairline to the base. Some rubbing to gilt. Stabilized and retouched hairline to the reverse. Stabilized and retouched cracks to the underside of the base Tallest is 9.7ins high, 7.9ins wide, 3.3ins depth
