Victorian, circa 1860 Mini pair Staffordshire hunters riding spotted horses, with hounds leaping at their feet. Ochre line to bases. Raised cross to underside of right facing. Generally good. Right facing: Kiln effects: firing hole to the underside of horse''s back leg; small shrinkage crack to the horse''s neck, chest, and under front leg; kiln detritus to the base; speck of blue paint to the hunter''s face. Retouching to black enamel. Restored flake to hunter''s nose. Left facing: Minor abrasion to hunter''s hat. Paint loss to horse''s nose. Kiln effects: kiln detritus caught in the glaze to hunter''s coat; over glazed manufacture chips to the hunter''s hat; over glazed shrinkage crack and a touch mark to reverse. 4ins high
