Victorian, circa 1860 Matched pair Staffordshire No.4 russet and white seated spaniels. Dull gilt collar and locket. Feathered russet markings. Vent hole to reverse. Painted mark to underside of both with raised number ''4'' to underside of right facing. Generally good. Right facing: Slight rubbing to nose. Kiln effect: shrinkage line to reverse. Repaired crack to underside and running up between front legs. Retouching to russet enamel. Left facing: Kiln effect: two shrinkage cracks to the front. Retouching to nose, paws and russet enamel. 7.25ins high
