Victorian, circa 1860 Matched pair Staffordshire No.2 black and white spaniels. Peach colored muzzles. Gray paws. Dull gilt collar, locket and chain. Vent hole to reverse. Raised number ''2'' to underside of right facing spaniel. Painted mark to underside of left facing spaniel. Good. Some rubbing to gilt. Right facing: Small flake behind left ear. Kiln effects: stray black glaze to reverse; shrinkage crack along the mold join to chest and front left leg. Restored chip to base edge at reverse. Retouching to left eye and nose. Left facing: No restoration. Tight hairline to underside. Kiln effects: star craze line to underside; shrinkage crack along the mold join over the spaniel''s back and to front right paw. 9.75ins high
