Victorian, circa 1880 Large Staffordshire figure of Queen Victoria. She stands crowned with veil, ermine-edged cloak, multi-flounced skirt and Garter sash. Bright gilt decoration with script to base which reads ''Queen of England & Empress of India Crowned June 20th 1837, Year of Jubilee 1887.'' Vent hole to reverse. Similar piece illustrated figure 552, page 181, Schiffer''s ''Victorian Staffordshire Figures 1835-1875'' Book 1, by A.& N. Harding. Good. No restoration. No cracks. No hairlines. No chips. Rubbing to gilt. Slight rubbing to nose. Kiln effects: small firing pit and bruise to crown. 16.5ins high
