Victorian, circa 1860 Large pair Staffordshire seated black and white spaniels. One front leg molded free. Gray paws. Sponged black markings all round. Dull gilt collar and locket. Vent hole to reverse of head. Good. Slight rubbing to gilt. Right facing: Kiln effects: glaze miss to nose; small shrinkage crack under chin; piece of kiln detritus to reverse of tail. Repair to free molded leg. Left facing: No restoration. Minor paint loss to claws. Kiln effect: piece of kiln detritus to the spaniel''s back. 15ins high
