A MEISSEN FIGURE GROUP, LATE 19TH/20TH CENTURY, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARK, INCISED MODEL NO. F.49, IMPRESSED 101, Modeled in the round with a classical maiden being wooed by an admirer with a seated maiden at her side crying with a spilled basket of flowers, a lengthy flower garland wrapping two figures on a gilt enriched molded oval base. Stands a large 13'' tall and over 6'' wide. Very large Meissen group. Restorations to two fingers and flower basket handle. Minor flower chip over all very good condition and circa 1880.
