Victorian, circa 1870 George Jones Majolica figure group of three putti, each draped in a lilac shawl and standing on a trefoil shaped, acanthus molded base. Two of the putti are wearing garlands on their heads, and one is holding a bundle of wheat. Turquoise plinth base with mottled green, brown and ochre glazes around the lower edge and to the underside. Three stilt marks inside the base. Originally, this was probably the base of a compote. Good. No chips. No flakes. Kiln effect: over glazed shrinkage lines to four ankles. Repair to neck of all three. Repaired cracks to face of one putto, running down over chest. Retouched flaking to heads where the compote top probably used to sit. 8.5ins high
