This is a lovely figural centerpiece bowl that features a beautiful nymph gazing into a cascading pond. She is being gossiped to by a small cherub who is whispering into her ear. The bowl is a plaster composition that appears to have some parian mixed with it. I have seen this same piece made in pottery by Stellmacher of Austria. This may have been a plaster copy or a model. The bowl measures 12'' high by 14'' wide and it is 12'' deep. I have had it so long I can''t remember what country I bought it in, but I think it was England in the 1980''s. I have floated rose buds in it during the summer and decorative nuts and candies at parties. It is a wonderful decorative accessory.
