French Breton figurine, a rare and early NIDERVILLER French faience, or soft paste sculpture from the 18th century. The peasant woman is beautifully painted in soft polychrome colors, with marvelous detail to her face and costume.
There is some damage, common in most faience, but this is an extremely old piece (over 200 years) in very good condition for the period. Madam is missing a hand and has chips...however she displays beautifully and is timeless in grace and style.
Dimensions: Approx 8 Inches Condition: See above, and please view photos.
