Delicate graceful courting couple in white porcelain hand painted with pink glazes, gilt and polychrome touches to the eyes and hair. Our gentleman is in a powdered wig, our lady in a tiara. Each gently bows to the other. Certainly takes us back to a moment in time reminiscent of that described by the Bronte sisters. Dimensions: Gentleman 7 1/4" tall, lady just under 7"3" at the widest points each figurine. Condition: very good. There's a small flake off the top of the tiara. No other flaws noted. Marks: each has what appears to be a script lower case 'h' written in the paste. I don't recognize the mark. It's not entirely unlike a Hannong mark (which it most certainly is not).
