Great pair of German Dresden style dancers made by the Sitzendorf factory, approx mid 19th Century. Measurements:taller is 4 1/8'' high. Pink-bodiced lady kneels; Blue-bodiced dancer stands on one leg on her toes. Both have lacy skirts with small attached flowers. Both are placed on decorated bases. Very pretty details and painting of both faces. Marks:both have blue underglaze crossed lines. The kneeling figure has an impressed crossed swords (as though in immitation of the Meissen mark) and an impressed ''7''. The other fig. has impressed ''10'' and gold painted ''24''.
