Victorian, date cipher 1871 Wedgwood Majolica leaf shaped dish decorated with an exotic bird, perched on a leafy branch, eating a berry. Brown ground with impressed dot-in-circle pattern. Ochre border around the edge. Branch handle. Pale yellow reverse with green tinge. Impressed and painted maker''s marks inside the foot ''WEDGWOOD'', ''L'' and date cipher ''DGZ'' for December 1871. Good. No restoration. No cracks. No hairlines. No chips. Shallow chip under rim. Slight wear to interior. 6.75ins by 9.5ins wide
