Meissen shell shape pickle dish, modelled as a scallop shell on three short scroll feet, with thick gilt line to the rim and scroll details.
Crossed swords mark, also gilders mark 23
Circa 1850.
References: This piece relates directly to the famous Swan Service, made for Count Bruhl in the late 1730’s and modelled by Kaendler. The gilders mark of a number was introduced in 1831 and discontinued in the later 19th century.
Condition: very minor rim chip
