Victorian, date cipher for 1872 Minton Majolica teacup and saucer both decorated with lily pad leaves. Turquoise to interior of cup and reverse of saucer, mottled gray glazes to exterior. Impressed ''MINTON'' maker''s mark and registration diamond for the 5th April 1872 to base of teacup and reverse of saucer. Painted mark and date cipher for 1872 to reverse of saucer. Very good. No restoration. Cup: Slight wear to the underside. kiln effect: slightly stained crazing to the interior and exterior. Saucer: Kiln effects: two small glaze misses to the under rim; slightly stained crazing to front and reverse. 2.5ins high, 5.5ins diameter
