C. 1775 Chinese Export Famille rose Acrobatic Mandarin Cup and Saucer, of most unusual subject matter in very good condition. Very Rare and Scarce. Until recently I have not seen this pattern before. Recently four cups and saucers became available and this is the last one. This fine painting was done by a very good artist and great perception in the 1700's, not to mention the superb molded and ribbed form, which is a masterpiece set in this chinese export pattern. Very well painted on both the cup and saucer is a scene of a acrobat on a tightrope walker with two figures cheering him on with their act as entertainers of the court. This scene is painted very nicely on both the cup and saucer. The saucer measures 5" in diameter and 1" in depth. Their are two tiny nicks on the saucers edge that are so small and hardly noticeable. The cup measures 2" in depth and is 3" in diameter. Excellent Condition with no chips, cracks or restoration.
