A beautiful C 1768 Worcester trio of fluted saucer, tea cup and coffee cup painted in the kakiemon palette with the 'Jabberwocky' pattern. A dragon-like creature coiled around a branch amongst flowering chrysanthemums, within turquoise ground borders edged with gold scrollwork and red diaper pattern. This has to be one of the most visually pleasing and striking patterns produced by Worcester, the execution to detail is wonderful.
The condition of all three pieces is perfect no chips, cracks or restoration. The slightest rubbing to the gilt on points of some facets, enamels are perfect with no wear. This set is as good as it gets. All three pieces marked with the Worcester underglazed blue square fret mark and the label of Earle Vandekar to the saucer. Saucer measures 13.3cms. Tea cup measures 8.8cms diameter x 4.8cms high. Coffee cup measures 6.5cms diameter x 5.6cms high.
