Bow tankard of small size, the bell shape with slightly flared lip and grooved strap handle with spade shaped terminal, sprigged with a large flowering rose plant, with a smaller specimen either side.
Unmarked, circa 1755
References: This small baluster form is unusual, and combined with the rarely seen rose sprigging, makes this a rarity. ref. Treasury of Bow #156 for a cup with this sprigging, where it is noted it matches a shard from the factory discovered in 1867.
Condition: Fine condition, small hairline at lip, firing flaws, bruise to foot
