A Set of English Porcelain Coffee Cups and Saucers, Circa 1812-20 The London Shape cups are each painted with a different monochrome painting of British landscape scene in sepia between two gilt bands. ;On the interior rim to halfway down the cup is an armorial bearing of a lion rampant between a leafy band and below an acqua band of colour between two gilt bands. Some minor gilt rubbing. Height: 2 1/2 inches; Saucer diameter: 5 1/4 inches Each piece is painted with a different English landscape scene, many containing figures. ;The pictures provide a wonderful insight into the British pre-industrial landscape.
