Victorian, date cipher for 1871 Wedgwood Majolica reticulated high compote decorated with a central circular green glazed pictorial panel of a three figures in a rowing boat. Surrounded by entwined yellow ribbon and ivy leaf border. Brown and yellow reticulated rim. Stand modeled with three rams heads around the top, and three feet with draping leaves at the base. Mottled reverse with stilt marks under the rim. Cream base with maker''s marks including impressed ''WEDGWOOD'', ''T'' and date cipher ''BGZ'' for 1871, and painted ''x''. Generally good. No hairlines. Minor flaking to one ram''s head. Slight wear to the rim. Kiln effect: two pieces of kiln dirt to the green center. Repair to re-join top to the base. Repair to the stand.
