Victorian, date cipher for 1869 Wedgwood Majolica Argenta passion flower high compote. Decorated with passion flower leaves and buds, and a central passion flower on cream stipple ground. Branch molded rim. Cream reverse with impressed ''WEDGWOOD'' maker''s mark, ''M'', ''F'', three letter date cipher ''HZX'' for 1869 and vent hole inside the foot. Also painted pattern number ''M2781 .7''. Good. No restoration. No cracks. No hairlines. No chips. No flakes. Slight wear to interior and rim. 4.75ins high, 8.5ins diameter
