Circa 1910 WMF Figural centrepiece with maiden, boy and glass bowl. Features a naked boy and girl, entwined in a sheet. A tree winds around them. Ivy base with four feet. Impressed maker''s marks to reverse of one foot ''WMF'', ''EP'' (electroplated), ''I/O'' (normal thickness of plating/gilding), and ''as'' (antique silver finish). The glass bowl has flowers and leaves etched around the sides, in the art nouveau style. Please note, the piece is quite heavy, weighing 5.4kg Base: Generally good. Usual wear. Split to stem of one twig. Some tarnishing. Bowl: One under rim chip. Very slight wear to the bowl interior. The join between the bowl and the base is strong enough for decorative purposes, but would need strengthening to support heavy objects. Please note, this piece will be shipped in two parts.
